The trip is planned for June 2024. The players (approx. 14 players, and 5 chaperones) will train everyday in France (with the expectation of arrival and departure days), will play 5-6 friendly soccer games against French teams, and will visit professional training centers and stadiums in Nice, Toulon, Cannes, Monaco, and Saint Tropez.
100% of all the funds raised for this team, stay with this team! All donations collected are going towards costs associated with sending the team to this life-changing soccer program abroad in France.
IMPACT OF PLAYING SOCCER ABROAD
Playing soccer (football) abroad will provide a unique and life-changing experience for the team. These players will benefit both personally, academically, and athletically. This soccer immersion experience in France will provide many opportunities for the children to learn valuable life lessons that will benefit many areas of their lives.
Teamwork: Soccer is a team sport, and playing it abroad can help children understand the importance of teamwork. They will learn to work together with their teammates, communicate effectively, and support each other to achieve common goals.
Adaptability: Playing soccer abroad will expose the children to new cultures, languages, and ways of life. They will have to learn to adapt to different environments and adjust to new customs and traditions. This can help them become more adaptable and flexible in their personal and professional lives in the future.
Resilience: Soccer is a physically demanding sport that requires players to persevere through challenges and setbacks. Playing abroad can provide additional challenges such as unfamiliar playing conditions, different styles of play, and jet lag. Overcoming these obstacles can help children develop resilience and perseverance.
Responsibility: Playing soccer abroad requires children to be responsible for their own actions, as well as to support and look out for their teammates. They will learn to take responsibility for their mistakes, show up on time for practices and games, and prioritize their commitments.
Communication: Soccer requires players to communicate effectively with their teammates and coaches, both on and off the field. Playing abroad can help children develop their communication skills by learning new languages or practicing communication in challenging situations.
